Shape of a Woman Editorial for Portraits of Girls
Very excited to share my nude series, Shape of a Woman. It’s probably my favorite nude work thus far and was recently featured on one of my favorite fashion editorial websites, Portraits of Girls. Model and friend Domini Jandl brought her expertise with angles and posing to help create a beautiful series highlighting the shape and form of the female body.
I have to commend Domini for understanding the looks I was going for. Photographing just the body without the face can be somewhat challenging for the model in terms of posing. In that instance, I always make sure to show them images every so many frames so they can get an idea how their body is looking and my composition. If certain angles aren’t working or body parts are creating distractions in the image they can adjust accordingly. I think most models are much more conscious of how their face looks in terms of expressions, but articulating the nude body and making sure it creates a flattering image based on the photographers composition is probably a bit more difficult. Domini brought it and it shows!
A big thank you to Portraits of Girls for featuring my work. I really appreciate it!
I hope you enjoyed this post! If so, give it a like or even leave a comment!
